I did not exactly follow my July TBR list. In fact I strayed pretty far off of it about halfway through the month to read an 800 page book. And you know what? It ended up being a great decision. So if I get the strong urge to do it again in August then I probably will. But, I still like having some kind of organized list put together for what’s next on my reading roster.

The Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut
It makes me feel like such a poseur when I look at the Vonnegut tattoo on my arm and remember I’ve only read 2 of his books. This would help alleviate that feeling at least a little.
A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay
I picked this book up from Book Outlet on a whim a while ago but then decided I wanted to listen to it on audiobook instead and it’s now in on Libby! I don’t read a lot of horror but I know Tremblay is pretty popular so this should be interesting.
The Wicked King by Holly Black
This is a sequel to The Cruel Prince, which I read a little while ago and enjoyed, think I gave it 4 stars? So I’m excited to return to this dark fae world.
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
I’m surprised this is a classic I haven’t gotten to yet since it’s so beloved, but I’m just hoping it’s not boring.

I’ve been hearing good things about this one and it’s not too long, so I think I can get through it pretty quickly and see what the hype is about.
The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love by India Holton
I thought this sounded so good and it took a while to come in on Libby so I definitely want to get to it while I have the hold out.
We’ll see if I actually get to this one this month, now that I’m looking at my list it is a lot of romance…
The Sword of Kaigen by M.L Wang
I’ve already started this one on my Kindle, I’m about 15% in and enjoying it so far! Definitely a military fantasy.
I’ve also technically started this one but I’m only about 20-something pages in. I really like the HBO Watchmen miniseries so I’m hoping I get something out of this. So far it’s just fine.
The Pairing by Casey McQuiston
Also started this one! Another one that I own a copy of but wanted to do the audiobook (something is wrong with me) and so far I’m actually not loving the narration but the story is keeping me interested.
Comment and let me know if you’ve read any of these and what you thought of them!
